A season decided by your rating
For hotels, holiday rentals, restaurants and boat charters in the Balearics, a small drop in the average rating can be felt in next season's bookings. Hundreds of reviews arrive each summer in several languages, and some of them are fake, written by competitors or used to pressure for a refund. We review each one against the platform rules and challenge only those that break them, with the evidence to back it up.
Content in English and German, hosted abroad
Much of what our clients in Mallorca bring us is in English or German, on travel forums, review sites or news sites based in other countries. The big platforms apply the same rules in every language, and websites in the European Union are subject to the GDPR and the Digital Services Act. For sites outside the EU, we work through their hosting providers and the search engines. If a site is in the UK, UK data protection law also gives you rights there.
Fake bookings and summer crises
We also see fake websites and adverts that impersonate real villas and apartments to take deposits, and sudden crises when an incident with guests spreads on social media or in local media. In both cases time matters: we certify the content, stop its spread where possible and help you prepare a public response if it makes sense.
Authorities and courts
The Balearic Islands have no regional data protection authority, so complaints go to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD). If a case needs to go to court in Palma, we work with a law firm and provide the forensic evidence from the start. Proceedings are in Spanish, and we help you follow each step in English.
Where we are
We do not have an office in Palma: our only office is in Tres Cantos, near Madrid, and we work remotely with the whole of Spain. Requests to platforms, search engines and authorities are made in writing, so you do not need to travel. Every case is reviewed by Javier Arenillas, an IT specialist, SEO analyst and court-appointed IT forensic expert with a master's degree in cybersecurity. More about us.
