Searched for in more than one country
Many international professionals in Madrid have a reputation in two places at once: here and in their home country. A potential employer, investor or client may search for your name in Spanish and in English, on Google.es and on Google.com, and see different results. We start by mapping what appears in each language and each country, because the routes for removing it are not the same everywhere.
Spanish news, gazettes and court rulings
Spanish newspapers have large, well-ranked online archives, and Spain publishes a lot of personal information in official gazettes such as the BOE and the BORME (the companies register gazette), as well as in legal databases. If your name appears in an old story, a fine, a company appointment or a ruling, there are specific routes: anonymisation by the publication, delisting from Google under the right to be forgotten and requests to the gazettes themselves.
The AEPD is just down the road
Complaints about search engines, websites and private companies go to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), which has its headquarters in Madrid. The Community of Madrid has no regional data protection authority. Complaints must be filed in Spanish, and we prepare them with the arguments and documents that carry most weight.
When a case needs a court
If you need to defend your honour, privacy or image before the courts in Madrid, we work with a law firm that we collaborate with regularly. Before anything else, Javier Arenillas, a court-appointed IT forensic expert, certifies the content so that the evidence is not lost if the author deletes it.
Where we are
Our office is in Tres Cantos, just north of Madrid. If you are nearby, we can meet in person; if not, we do everything by video call, phone, WhatsApp or email, in English. Every case is reviewed by Javier Arenillas, an IT specialist, SEO analyst and court-appointed IT forensic expert with a master's degree in cybersecurity. More about us.
